Characteristics and Specifications
CREPEX®
☑ Waterborne coating providing protection against the formation and spread of corrosion.
☑ After covering with any topcoat, it prevents the formation of corrosion and its further spread for 15 years or more in an environment of high corrosion aggressiveness C3 and C4, as confirmed by the results of tests carried out by certified research institutes.
☑ Allows the resulting coating system – consisting of CREPEX® coating and topcoat or covercoat with a total thickness of 100 µm or more – to be not only significantly thinner, lighter and cheaper, but also several times more effective than other metal surface protection systems in use today, with incomparably easier application without the need for special surface treatments prior to application, such as The lighter coating system also puts less load on the structures to be treated and less changes the static properties of bridges, structures, etc. For high-rise buildings, the lightening of the weight of the structure will have a significant effect on the need for building foundations.
☑ When added to concrete instead of the standard commonly added dispersion, it prevents erosion and corrosion of the metals cast in concrete and at the same time improves its surface properties.
DETAILED PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
- CREPEX® coating is able to stop the corrosion process already underway directly on the corroded surface. In combination with a quality topcoat, it is able to extend the life of the treated surface up to several times. If the treated surface is mechanically damaged, no corrosion will occur or spread underneath the final finish or topcoat.
- The ability to prevent the formation and spread of corrosion arises from the chemical reaction of the active ingredients with the surface of the material, whereby an anti-corrosion pigment forms under the coating film and is then firmly embedded in the substrate itself. This passivates the surface of the material to be treated, resulting in a compact and homogeneous material. The results of measurements carried out by certified research institutes have confirmed that coating systems based on CREPEX® coatings are resistant to corrosion and its spread in C3 and C4 corrosion aggressive environments for a period of 15 years or more.
- It performs the function of a primer and, with a thickness of 10-40 µm, improves the adhesion of all applied topcoats (even powder coatings), even on surfaces that are already damaged by corrosion.
- Surfaces treated with CREPEX® can be welded without problems. During welding, the applied coating does not “fly away” and does not disperse into the surrounding area. The weld itself can be simply repainted or recoated.
- We are currently selecting and then testing new components and additives in order to be able to satisfy all customers from different sectors and to provide them with a product that meets their expectations and fully meets their expectations of surface protection. In cooperation with research institutes, we can design a complete coating system that will be optimal for different types of materials, be it iron, steel, aluminium, copper or others.
